Note: The ALW Seated Workplace Laser Welder (YAG or Fiber) may have different configurations, which can be read in full detail by viewing the PDF.
The ALW is a comfortable, ergonomic, and spacious seated laser workstation. Designed with operator comfort in mind, it offers plenty of legroom and features an observation lens with a variable viewing angle from to , ensuring a relaxed working posture.
Safety and Versatility for Any Environment
The ALW’s fully enclosed, laser-proof housing makes it a laser-protected workspace, allowing it to be integrated into a normal production environment without the need for extensive additional safety precautions.
The laser welder is versatile, available in two main configurations:
Fiber Laser Version: Choose between and of laser power. The highly energy-efficient fiber source is ideal for achieving reproducible welds because the laser power remains constant throughout the welding process. It supports both Continuous Wave (CW) and pulsed welding modes.
Nd:YAG Laser Version: Available with or , this option provides a high peak pulse power for demanding applications.
Precision Control and Seamless Operation
The ALW laser system is designed for easy operation and precise control.
Intuitive Parameter Adjustment
Laser parameters can be configured via the main display or instantly adjusted during welding using the patented multifunction footswitch. This allows operators to quickly adapt settings without interrupting their work.
Enhanced Workpiece Handling
Easy Access: The workstation features large doors that open wide, significantly simplifying the loading and unloading of workpieces.
Adjustable Comfort: The footplate is individually adjustable, catering to the specific ergonomic preferences of each user.
Large Work Plate: A robust, oversized work plate is provided for accurately positioning and moving your workpiece.
High-Responsiveness Axis Movement: The joystick for axis movement can be fixed anywhere on the work plate. The system’s high responsiveness ensures the axes follow the joystick’s movements directly and precisely.
Performance and Applications
The ALW is engineered to process workpieces weighing up to quickly and precisely on the X, Y, and Z axes. Movement can be controlled in three ways:
- Manual: Using the high-responsiveness joystick.
- Semi-automatic: With preset axis speeds.
- Fully automatic: Using the optional WINLaserNC software.
An optional tiltable turntable is also available, perfect for welding cylindrical workpieces.
The ALW’s various power levels cater to a comprehensive range of industry demands. The or models are best suited for detailed repair and deposit welding on small tools and molds. Stepping up in power, the or versions meet the increased demands of industries and tradespeople, allowing for effective welding of materials such as aluminum, precious metals, titanium, and sensitive alloys.
The ALW laser welding system demonstrates its many strengths in key applications, including repair welding, the manufacture of tools and molds, welding of demanding materials, the production of medical components and sensors, precision technology, and sheet metal processing.
